SUBJECT:
The plows they wouldn’t let me buy

I’m so proud of my colleagues at Sanitation. For years, we have done everything we can to keep NYC healthy, safe and clean -- even as we endured painful budget cuts that hurt the Agency and hurt New Yorkers.

After this week’s blizzard, it’s clear we can’t continue down this road. Sanitation needs funding and resources to serve all New Yorkers.

For food delivery workers, it’s their job to be in the bike lane. And yet, bike lanes were some of the last places to get plowed.

As former Sanitation Commissioner, I’ll tell you why: for years, the Office of Management and Budget blocked me from buying these beautiful machines.

I love the Multihog. The Multihog has a detachable plow that can clear the narrow width of a protected bike lane. And as Mayor, I will get them onto our streets.

I’m running for Mayor because I’m obsessed with the details of improving our city. But I’m not a career politician … I’m counting on big grassroots support to win.

I’m the only candidate for Mayor that’s made climate change central to my campaign.

That’s why I’ll fight for 250 miles of safe, protected bike lanes across all five boroughs.

And, I’ll make sure those bike lanes are clean and plowed.

That’s just part of my climate and transportation plan. But to become Mayor, I’ll need your help.

Thanks for your support.
